International leadership position in a high technology field requires sufficient and appropriately qualified professionals and skilled workers. The project “Qualification of engineers within the cluster of excellence “MicroTEC Südwest” (IQMicroTEC) aims to ensure a sufficient number of academically trained top executives in the field of microtechnology. Various measures are being developed, ranging from in-service training of academics to the recruitment of international experts.
Objectives
- Establishment of the cluster region as an internationally leading and visible supplier of high-value academic development in the area of microsystem technology for the national and international academic new generation
- Ensuring access to top talents (high potentials) in the subject area Microtechnology and microsystems technology for the cluster
- Unlocking the potential of professionals in the cluster region by “blended learning” part-time concepts in further training at an academic level in the subject area MST
- Improving the integration of current R&D (Research And Development) innovation by developments in the further training of professionals with extra occupational studies
Measures
- Development of an offer of study creditable performance as industry internships in the cluster region for foreign students (“international internship“)
- Workshops and conferences for students, in which current research and developments are presented from the cluster (“University Week“)
- In-service continuing qualification courses at the Master level (“Executive Master“)
